Our View on Dental Insurance

 You Have the Power to Decide
For your benefit, we have made the decision to have NO contractual obligations with any dental insurance companies or government agencies. You will not find our dental practice on any "list" provided by your employer. What this means is that, in our practice, YOU will decide what treatment is appropriate for you without negative interferences from the insurance company. This is an extremely important statement because patients in most dental offices have lost that privilege. Any dentist or dental office that signs a contract with a dental insurance company is giving that insurance company the legal right to determine what dental services will be offered to you. We feel strongly that YOU should determine what treatment is appropriate for you...NOT the insurance company.
We Will Assist You
Even though we do not participate with any dental insurance plans, we will assist you by filing claims with your insurance company. You may receive, from your insurance, some reimbursement for dental treatment done in our practice, but since we are "out of network", please be aware that the reimbursement may not be the same as what is printed in their benefits statement. The only exception to this is an HMO plan where the only way to get coverage is to go to an HMO clinic. Also note that your medical insurance and dental insurance are completely difference insurances.
We Will File for You
As a courtesy to our patients, we will file your insurance forms for you and will help you obtain the maximum reimbursement possible from your dental insurance company; however, there is no guarantee how much your insurance company will pay for services. We will do our best to give you an estimate, but you will ultimately be responsible for any remaining balance that your insurance does not cover.
