Medit Link ScannerInstead of the traditional, messy impressions most patients are used to, we have a scanner that takes the place of this in many situations. The scanner takes about 5 minutes to scan the patient's whole mouth and is painless! By moving the tip of the scanner around the patient's mouth, it takes a multitude of pictures that will then piece them together to make an accurate model of the patient's teeth that they will get to see on the big screen! We use the Medit scanner to scan for crowns, bridges, dentures and partials that will be sent to the lab digitally and bleach trays that are made in office. The scanner also connects to our 3D printer that prints out the digital models in office. Check out the 3D printer in the waiting room the next time you are in! The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast. Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically, allowing for a faster consultation with your dentist.
