What to Expect on Your Initial Visit
In order to provide you with individualized care appropriate for you, we feel it is important to spend time getting to know you. During your initial visit, there will be plenty of time for you to ask Dr. Radwanski any questions you may have, or tell us anything you feel would help us better meet your dental needs. We will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, your gums, the bones that hold your teeth, the muscles that move your jaws, your jaw joints, and how everything fits together. Dr. Radwanski will take various digital photographs of you and your teeth In order to provide the most comprehensive exam. Based on your needs we will take various types of reduced radiation digital x-rays. If you have had digital x-rays completed within the last 2 years by a previous dentist, please request those x-rays and have them emailed to our office at firstname.lastname@example.org. So that we can obtain the most accurate records, we may also make study models of your teeth and record how your teeth and jaws fit together.
Because we will be gathering such detailed information during your initial comprehensive evaluation, you will need to plan on being in our office anywhere between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. Please make sure you allow at least that much time in your schedule for your initial visit. If you need a dental cleaning appointment the same day, please let our appointment coordinator know so that we can arrange that for you.
If you decide that you would like us to be your dental health care provider, we feel it is important for us to agree on what you should be able to expect from us, and on what we should be able to expect from you. We look at this as an informal agreement between us.
